The child index of the currently active page.

The value is -1 if there is currently no active page.

Setting this value causes the navigation to transition to the desired page. Due to animations there may be a delay between setting and the new value actually becoming the "active" page. If you need to respond at a precise time in the transition you can use a ActivatingAnimation or a WhileActive trigger with appropriate threshold.
